Frequently asked questions

How does the free plan work?▾

The Free plan lets you upload PDFs up to 10MB with max 30 pages, preview them as an interactive flipbook, and convert up to 3 PDFs per day. Export is not available. A watermark is applied to all free previews.

What is a license key and how do I use it?▾

When you purchase Starter or Pro on Gumroad, you receive a license key by email. Paste it into the "Already purchased?" box and click Activate. Plan unlocks instantly — no account needed. Keys are verified against Gumroad's API.

Is my PDF uploaded to your servers?▾

PDF rendering happens locally in your browser via PDF.js — your file stays on your device. It is only sent to our server if you use the export feature (Starter/Pro). Uploaded files are auto-deleted within 1 hour.

What is the difference between Starter and Pro?▾

Starter ($7/mo): 150 pages, 50MB, export ZIP, 5 themes, background color, no watermark. Pro ($19/mo): 500+ pages, 150MB+, custom branding, double-page spread, cover modes, advanced export, all 8 themes, highest render quality.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?▾

Yes. Subscriptions are managed through Gumroad. Cancel anytime from your Gumroad account. Cancellation takes effect at end of your billing period, then reverts to Free Basic.

What export formats are available?▾

Starter and Pro export a self-contained HTML flipbook as a ZIP file. It works offline, hosts on any web server, and requires no external dependencies. Opens in any modern browser.

What browsers are supported?▾

Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and mobile browsers on iOS and Android. Internet Explorer is not supported. Chrome or Edge on desktop gives the best experience.

Why is my PDF rendering slowly?▾

Rendering depends on PDF complexity and your device. We use lazy rendering — only visible pages render at full quality. For best performance use PDFs under 100 pages. Pro plan uses the highest rendering quality settings.
